ABOUT ME

Hello! My full name is Shariar Kabir Papon and I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. I graduated highschool in 2021 and currently I am studying towards my bachelors degree. I am majoring in Computer Information Systems but I am on a transfer program for Computer Science.

I have always been into computers and technology in general. Ever since my dad got me a Desktop computer when I was four I have been fascinated by them. I still remember playing DX-Ball on that chunky Windows XP and wanting to learn how the the games and programs are made. During middle school I started programming in Java and got decent at it. My first game was just a box shooter game that had no actual game loop but I was proud of it. This love for video games and the curiosity led me in a path of programming and game development. After messing around with java for a bit, I discovered the game engine Unity and what surprised me was how versatile it is. You can make anything from physics simulations to full video games. Now I primarily use Unity and C# for game/toolkit development and many other miscellaneous projects. Between 2017 and 2021 I have done multiple freelancing jobs which I mainly got from a unity discord servers. As soon as I turned 18 in 2022, I started freelancing in Upwork where I was able to gain some much needed professional experience in the field of programming.

I plan to continue on with this undying passion and improve in this career (hopefully as a Computer Scientist or Software Engineer in the future) and see what the future holds for me.
