ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Shariar Papon, and I am based in Pittsburgh, PA. I have completed an Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems and am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

I have been passionate about computers and technology for as long as I can remember. Ever since my dad gave me my first desktop computer when I was four years old, I have been fascinated by how computers work. I still remember playing DX-Ball on that chunky Windows XP computer and wondering how the games and programs I used were actually made.

That curiosity eventually led me to programming. During middle school, I began learning Java and quickly became interested in creating my own software. One of my first projects was a simple box-shooter game. It was far from polished and didn’t even have a proper game loop, but I was incredibly proud of it because I had built it myself.

My interest in video games, combined with my curiosity about how software works, naturally led me toward programming and game development. After spending time learning Java, I discovered the Unity game engine and was amazed by its versatility. I could use it to create everything from physics simulations and interactive tools to complete video games. Since then, Unity and C# have become some of my primary tools for game and toolkit development, along with various other personal and freelance projects.

Over the years, I have developed extensive knowledge of programming and software development and have worked with a variety of languages and technologies, including C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL & Data Analysis. I am also a quick learner and enjoy picking up new languages, frameworks, and tools whenever a project requires them. My experience includes multiple freelance projects, many of which I initially found through Unity Discord communities. I later began freelancing through Upwork, where I gained valuable professional experience working directly with clients and developing software to meet their specific needs.

I plan to continue building on this passion for programming, expanding my technical skills, and taking on increasingly challenging projects. I am excited to see where this ever-growing interest in technology takes me and what I will be able to create in the future.
